On the 39 Master Delux the rear of the rear leaf spring shackles extends up into the frame. There is a support bracket that mounts to the side of the square frame so that one side of the shackle passes through the bottom of the frame through a square hole while the other side passes along the side of the frame. The question is; are the shackle repair kits available for the 39 usable to repair this support bracket? Is the bushing on the inside of the bracket a press fit bushing the same size as the ones sold in the kits?

Thanks,
Brian

The rear spring shackle kit is the same for 1934-1939 cars and 1/2 ton trucks (except 1933-36 Std).
The bushing that is pressed into the bracket is the same bushing (part #379647) that is used in many locations including 1/2 ton trucks, the front and rear spring shackle of your 1938 Master and rear of most car springs up to 1948 (not rubber bushed type)....so yes, the bushing is the same as the one sold in the kits.
Its necessary to unbolt the hanger to press the bushing out and press the new one in.

Thanks Gene, it looked the same but I wanted to get some confirmation.
