I am looking to purchase a new clutch pressure plate for my 36 Master Deluxe coupe. Can anyone help me as where to look. I have tried the internet listings with not much success. We had the engine rebuilt but would like to have a new clutch before installing it.

You can try Obsolete Chevrolet Parts in Nashville, Georgia. Good luck with your project!

Thank you for the tip. If this doesn't work, what about a good used one??????

Chevrolet did not sell a complete new pressure plate for a 1936. The sold the parts seperately and you could replace just what was worn out. I have a new Borg & Beck pressure plate, the complete assembly. Looks just like the one Chevrolet used except the levers have an adjustment screw so if an adjustment is ever necessary it will be. simple. The Chevrolet version required shims to adjust.

Lyle If I was doing the job I would replace pressure plate, clutch plate, throw out bearing and have the flywheel machined. Avoid problems before they happen is generally easier. Tony
