can someone tell me what the difference is in the outside door handles on a 47 chevy convertible vs. the other models. Was thinking of getting some new ones but can't find any pictures of the ragtop handle. All I can find is the handle pictures for the rest of the models. Thanks.

The exterior part of the convertible looks the same as a closed car. If I remember correctly the shaft is a different length. The.....www.fillingstation.com..... has new reproduction convertible door handles in their catalog.

Ken -

Gene is correct. The outside door handle shafts are different lengths. The convertible handle shaft is about 3 3/4" long. The rest of the models have a handle with the shaft about 3 1/2" long. Otherwise, they look identical.
