What kind of shows are you interested in? and what part of Texas? There are usually several hundred going on all the time on weekends. Car shows, tractor shows, hit & miss engine shows, craft shows, quilt shows, boat shows. gun shows, on and on........ For a few Texas car shows and other car events check out this site. Oh no, not just any show a VCCA show of course. After IKE wiped out the show last year wanted to see if the club had a big one like that coming anytime soon.

Oh no, not just any show a VCCA show of course. After IKE wiped out the show last year wanted to see if the club had a big one like that coming anytime soon. And which one would that be, The one that got wiped out? The only vcca event that I am aware of in Texas this fall is The Southern Fall Tour in Atlanta, Texas. It is a tour for pre 1955 cars and trucks and the last word I had is that it is sold out (limited number of cars) for VCCA events go to the vcca.org site.

They were going to have a show in Galveston Texas, last year. It got canceled because of IKE. Just wondering if they were planning on doing an show like that and not a tour.

Actually the "show" planned for Galveston was the VCCA Area 6 Joint Tour that was to have VCCA class judging. The judging was held a couple of weeks ago on the Joint Tour in Ponca City, OK. 10 vehicles were judged. Suspect that judging will be held on the next Joint Tour in Arkansas. The Diamond State Region is scheduled to host.

OK, the 2008 Joint Tour....I remember that now that you mentioned it! Yep, isn't that the one that the motel got washed away, just a little while before the tour was supposed to start? DUUHH!
