I got a tool tray cover for my 37 from Bruce B. in really nice shape! My question is there supposed to be 2 small metal tabs that are attached to the trunk floor edge for the tray to slip into? there are 2 spots on both ends of the wood cover that look like there supposed to slip under something. Nor sure as to what you are refering to. The 1937 does not have a tool tray like a 1938 and 1939 has. The 1937 has a shelf above the spare tire which lays flat in the trunk and the tools are stored to the right side of the tire.
The 1938-39 has the spare mounted vertically at the back of the trunk and a tool tray at the front of the trunk (rear of the car) with a wood cover and a flat floor.

I posted a picture so you know what I am talking about. The trunk is the same as a 38 other then the spare tire location and shelf so I guess what I am asking is sure it fits a 37 but is not correct?

I think the answers are yes, the tool tray cover has two beveled sections each about 2 inches wide where it slides under metal strips riveted to the trunk floor on the 38. The other side of the tool cover has springs riveted to the wood that snap into metal tabs on the other side of the tool well. And No, it appears that the 38 tool cover does not really work on a 37 well which appears to not be a tool well as the tools were stored elsewhere in the 37.
