Just wondering. Does anyone reproduce the old chrome/stainless window vent shades for doors for cars such as a '38 Chevy? Occasionally they pop up on ebay for ridiculous prices, but I can't find any repros. It seems they were sold by JC Whitney's not all that long ago.

The accessory vent shades were at the top of the window and permitted the window to be open slightly and not have the rain come in. The Vent Shade company is still in existance and they make the plastic visors today. The real old ones were not available in the Whitney catalog. I had a set for my 1939 but never installed them and finally sold them. They looked to big (stuck out too far) and looked like sails. Also the 1938-39 version was not stainless but regular steel and had to be painted to match the car.
