I am in act of getting parts for my 28 chevy truck.
I went to the Filling Station and they were great help. They were able to provide all that I needed in plugs, wiring, distributer cap ect. To my knowledge, the coil that they have is not the same as original.
My question is the original coil is a unique looking thing. Can a coil be rebuilt or do I get a new coil for the truck that is a different look.
Thanks
Paul

Paul you can use a modern 6 volt coil and condenser probably sold at the Filing Station. Mine is a 27 and that coil has built in condenser. if you search for old posts you will find many conversations, some among former posts I made :vcca: Ken 45145

Hey: PJS Does your coil have the plug head on the side of the coil with a resistance unit on the top with two screw connectors on either side? ,Is there some ID#'s on the the coil? I'm not sure if they can be rebuilt but in the manual there is away to test them. If your not going for full original ,another 6 volt coil will work. But keeping it all original is ace. I would buy a secondary 6 volt coil, if you are going to tour but keep the original for when you are going show.
Keeping vintage Chevy alive.
