I was planning to install the round "Bowtie"side view mirror on the passengers door. Was that a factory option for the 1966 Chevelle SS?

It was a dealer installed accessory. The left mirror was standard factory equipment and 1966 was the first year for it to be standard.

What is the location to drill for the passenger door rear view mirror on a 1966 Chevelle 2 door? Is the location exactly like the driver's side rear view mirror?

From what I remember it was the same. I know it was the same for my 1957 and my Corvair. I wonder if a template comes with the reproduction mirrors?

My 1963 Impala SS has a pass. side view mirror in the place as the driver's side mirror.

Do a search online for a right side rearview mirror template. I saw them recently. Try "Bow Tie Parts".
