Was the stuart warner radio an option on a 31/32 chev or is that an aftermarket accesory. If so does anyone have a picture of 1. Someone i know has an old stuart warner radio that he says came out of his 32 chev. It is supposed to be complete and the price is right although it needs to be restored to working condition. Also where was the radio head located. he seems to remember it attaching to the steering column and the cables going to the box on the firewall.

The Stewart Warner Radio would be an aftermarket radio and would go in any vehicle that has room for it. Could go in the back seat, for example, or in the trunk, perhaps on the running board, or if no passenger it could sit on the passenger seat.

(Tongue in cheek answer), but you get the picture.

All Chevrolet radios are identified with the bow tie or other Chevrolet or Delco logo.

The first Chevrolet radio to sport the logo was the 364441 keylock radio.

RGWiz, I see you label the radio as a "32 radio"...did you mean the radio was built in 1932 or that the radio is for the '32 model year?

Thanks

The radio featured is the model 364441 radio and it was the first Chevrolet radio as Raymondo mentioned. As stated previously, it is a 1933 model year radio. laugh laugh laugh
