Thanks!

I am no xpert on this but my local Napa dealer recommended Valvoline MAX LIFE DEX/MERC for use in my 54 Power Glide. It is for Transmissions with over 75000 miles. Mine has 99900 miles and I am having no problems.

The same Dexron fluid you would use in a 2000 model. Aditives are not necessary unless it leaks after being driven a distance. The Trans X works good if its a seal leaking but may take a year to swell the seal if the car sees only limited use.
