Try writing to Dupont. They might give you the number and a new formula for the color you are looking for. They did it for me and then I had the paint mixed at a local Dupont dealer. Of course that was in the early 60s. Things might be different now.

AWESOME LOOKING CAR. Junkyard Dog told me in an earlier topic that my "31 Coach based on paint code on cowl was originally the same general colour scheme as yours, i,e, Black/Blue/Red. When I stripped some of the many layers of current paint/primers from the steel areas above the molding line, the original dark blue is all the way up. I expected to find a Black upper section like yours. Mine was built in Canada (St Catherines Ont plant). JD also indicated window surrounds were to be Grey, evidence of which I have not found yet, but still have some removal to do . My 6 wheels are red. A. Is it possible that entire upper body was painted Blue first, then Black added afterward to area above beltline? I see evidence of black over the blue in some areas. B. Were some cars the same colour on the entire chassis above fenders , with contrasting window surrounds? C. Were Canadian car painting patterns different than US?
