After my 48 has been running for 10 mins or more if you shut it off and try to restart it right away it cranks like the battery is dead. if you let it cool off for bout 20-30 min she will start right up with no probs. Any idea on what to do to fix this? dose the starter need to be replace ( too old cant take the heat? ) TY!

First check the condition of the battery and starter electrical connections. Heat will increase resistance and therefore lower power available to turn starter. If these are okay then check the ground path to the starter. If that is also okay then the starter may need checking. Try to check it hot if that is when you have problems. If you have a VOM or other means to check voltage drop at the battery and starter when starting it will help diagnose the problem.

If you haven't solved this yet, check the size of the battery cables. If they have been replaced with 12 volt cables, it will cause this problem also.
