well tomorrow morning I have to get my car to the glass shop for new windshields finally { they cut the one in the car now last year} The shop is about 25 miles away from my house and this is the longest ride the car has been on as I just finished it this spring and the glass shop wants the car there to repair the glass there as they stopped last winter to look at the glass and told me to bring the car down. I had a trailer to bring it down but it is the same size as the car bigl and too late to find another one. so Off I go at 600 AM and from all my short drives and test I hope to make it down there. the only thing I did not test was the Generator to see if it was putting out but maybe I can check this in Early AM if not will see. I will let everyone know how I made out with the trip driving

Great, take a gallon of anti freeze, some oil,and brake fluid. Maybe a can of fix a flat. It may sound crazy but I also keep a spare coil, set of points, condenser, floor jack and 4-way in the trunk.. Good Luck.

thanks. I just called the glass shop and they said the car is done but they are closing early today and I can pick it up Monday. I am then driving it to my regular Chevrolet dealer to show them and to have my NY state inspection done. then I can put my door panels on finally{ had a vent window that did not close due to glass not mounted properly} patriot

Chuck....I know how you feel on your first outing with your '41. The feeling never subsides. I like to get out and drive around town, go to parades and shows. It only gets better. My '41 has been done for 10 years.
Michael41... You mentioned '41 owners. What happended to the '41 owners group that was going to form sometime ago?

Hey Jim....The 41 Owners Group, Well, I deferred to Paul's web site because there was a serious lack of leadership.....mine. bigl

Paul's site is on the fence these days but I am hoping someone {I believe Paul has found a guy} will pick up the pieces and continue with that site., It's a fun site and also where That is where I found my 41...So it has good karma. beermugs

enjoy the ride {in your 41}
