Hello!
One more chevrolet on the rods.
My chevrolet -37 are now approved by ( Svensk bilprovning).
There vas no trouble, all things vas good. But there are some interior work to do.
So now I can ride on the Swedish rods.
After summer, and an old car season comes a long Winter.I have to do the rest of the works.
The car goes well and cold. -37 is more comfortable then -31.
People likes my -31 more than -37.
My -31 goes well too I have driven 2 weddings this season.
So, will there in -37 be 18 preignition like -31?
I am in good condition. Skip I hope you are the same.

Congratulations on getting your '37 on the road! Restorations are seldom complete; there are always a few things to do in the off season.
Are you asking about the setting for the ignition timing? Please clarify so we can help.

18 degrees might be a little too far advanced, but it will depend on the octane rating of the fuel you buy. I would probably start with about 8 to 10 degrees of advance and then tune it by 'ear', which means adjust the advance until the engine idles smoothly, doesn't ping or knock, and rev's without hesitation.
Let us know the results.
