Thanks very much for the offer. The rod is aleady at Egge, so I will see how that works out. If it doesn't it is nice to know there is another option.

Thanks,

Bruce

Almost back in business. Got the rod back from EGGE and even with me doing the measuring the clearance was .002 and it looked real fine!! The head is also back on and we are having a few valve adjustment issues from the rebuild, but will get it there. The only thing holding me up is the oil pump. Turns out the oil pump was not made for this car or the generator wasn't made for the car. Evidently Grandpa found one or the other and stuck it on. The bolt pattern on the pump matches the gasket that came with the kit I got from Gary Wallace. The bolt patttern on the generator has only two holes and they do not perfectly match up with the holes in the pump. You can see the bolt pattern in earlier pictures on this post. After getting a shaft made to the exact dimensions of the original shaft it turns out it was too short. For now I am having the gear on the shaft altered so it will work until I can ascertain what to do. Got my fingers crossed I will be back in business very soon. CAN"T WAIT!!!

Thanks,

Bruce
