I'm thinking about looking at a '79 Corvette that's for sale. Can anyone tell me where to find the service parts ID label and the body number plate? How much are they worth. Only 30K miles and garaged. I saw a used car book that said about $8,000-12,000. Thanks.

the vin plate is underneath the left lower windshield and can be viewed from the exterior surface of the windshield. the trim plat, which supplies exterior and interior colors as well as other data, is located on the drivers side hinge pillar. *k for a low mile '79 not all that high. they are plentiful and due to relativly low horsepower/torque, are not as collectable as the 53 thru 67 vettes.mike
