I rewired the whole car and I still have one issue left.
The front lights have issues inside, more than likely the wiring inside is decomposed.
I guess the only way to get inside and rewire the head light fixture is to drill out the connecting plate where the plug goes in. DOES ANYBODY HAVE A BETTER WAY???

Also the armed cable wiring is bad. It sssms best just to replace them.
DOES ANYONE know where I can buy new head lamp plug and armed cable assembies???

Hey Shocks,

Are you talking about the wiring behind the reflector or the wiring in the socket.

I can't imagine where you would want to drill??

" Armed Cable " - what is that?

On the 31 headlamp if you look at the top of the reflector you will see a tab. Put a knife under the tab and gently lift.

On the armored cable that goes to the headlights, try here.....they might have it:

http://www.riwire.com/

On the wiring for the headlights you don't have to drill anything...and if you do you are making a big mistake. When you remove the reflector from the headlight housing you will see the wires (pig tails) that connect the reflector to the headlight housing. Once there it is self-explanatory on how to replace the wires and it is not that difficult to do.

Good luck! laugh laugh laugh

Armoured cable... these people have what you need (just purchased headlight and horn armoured cables for my '32 in May 2005). Ask for Meg.

Thanks people. After looking at my problem closer you all are right. The lamp fixture can be easily broken down and the sockets can be serviced.

I replaced all the old wiring and also fixed my electrical plug which brings power to the head lamp fixtures. The fexible cable attached to the plug is what I called armed cable!

After I finished my repairs I checked circuits with my continutiy meter GOOD SHAPE!

I called Bowtie reproductions to check on replacement parts if this repair doesn't last. My concern is I used 12ga machine wire (WHHX) which is rated for 90 degrees Centigrade.. I hope this can withstand the heat generated in the head lights fixture.
