on a 36 was those flat extension tip more of a after market you put on . what i asking is i have a stright chrome extension tip on my 36 . got a point off for incorret one. mine comes out pass bumper. you could have one come out inside bumper as there is a space between car and bumper. when theygame from factory what where they. thinks

In 1936 the original tail pipe ended about mid-way between the rear body panel and the bumper.
Chevrolet did not offer a tail pipe extension in 1936. It was a new item for 1937 and was the flat type.
