I have been looking for a rebuild kit but after reading some posts I don't know which one to get. I have a 33 master and some places say 194 and others say 206 cu. in.
Here is the engine block number 836915
I also found this on ebay. I also have pictures if that will help to help me identify the correct one. Thanks for any help.

Unless someone has been meddling, you have a 194 engine.

the 1933 Master was the first of the 206 engines. The piston stroke was increased to 4 inches....same as the 1934 Master and al 1935-36 engines.
There is some Chevrolet material that describes it as being a 194 but this is an error.
The 1933 Standard has the 3 3/4" stroke 181 cubic inch engine.

Now I am even more confused. Here are the pictures. http://picasaweb.google.com/Donaldtx78/Car#
As far as I know, no one has done anything to the engine. Another confusing thing is that I have read about and only seen the engines painted blue and as you can see mine is orange(or red).

The casting number of 836915 and the casting date indicates that your engine is a 1933 and it definitely has 206 cubic inches. Don't go by anything that you read on eBay because most often the sellers are inaccurate in their item descriptions. The last year for the 194 was in 1932.

Your engine been repainted previously with the wrong color. The correct color is a dark blue-gray.

Hey Dog, My info says the 33 Standard engine had a 3.5 inch stroke. That should make it 194 Cubic Inch, right?

3 1/2" is correct for the Standard. That was a smaller 181 cubic inch engine. It was used in 1933 and 1934 only and the water pump is mounted to the head rather than the block.
The 3 3/4" I mentioned earlier is for the 1932 194.
Your 206 is 4"

I would,t order any parts until you know if the cylinders and crankshaft are strandard sizes.

Gene, My book says Series CC Standard Models bore & stroke 3 5/16 X 3 1/2.
