Are the rims, which have a lock ring, painted gloss black or the body color. And does the answer apply to both sides. I have seen rims on other vehicles where just the exposed side is painted a body color or a gloss and the reverse side is primed or flat black.

1946 truck wheels, all the way from the 1/2 ton and up were black on both sides.
Some owners paint the wheels body color but this is incorrect.
