That is a great addition to the website. Should help a few folks install accessories. Help even more understand some of the accessories that were available in 1931.

Thanks, this is interesting. Do you know if their were any accessories added to this for 1932 cars? Then one other question, I noticed that the guy's on this site do not like for these items to be called options, why is that?
Thanks

Hi Jay,

An option infers that it was offered by the factory plant and delivered that way.

Accessories were an optional choice of the buyer and only installed by the dealer.

There were a lot more accessories added to the 1932 model line.

Oh, no, there was no such thing for 1932. No filmstrips at all. It was a very low production year. Middle of the Depression, you know. It's a shame really, since that year of Chevy model was fairly nice. Of course they started with all of the good features of the '31 and just tweaked it a bit.

So, I'm sorry to tell you, but you'll probably never find any filmstrip for 1932. They're too rare. And besides, most real vintage Chev people aren't that much interested in 1932 models. They were sort of gaudy with all that extra chrome. Just too dang gawdy!!!

Good joke Billy Boy Barker.......but this is May, not April and I have never heard of a May Fool's joke. ha ha!

At any rate, yes, there were a lot of filmstrips for 1932...sales, service and prospect. They are really cool too and the filmstrips contain a world of important and valuable information.

Very Cool Billy!

So it says to wait for the next Filmstrip. I would assume that going to be for the 32, right?

Well, I dug another film out today and looked at it with a magnifier... it was the 1931 Repair Manul. Wow... great film, but already readily available in book form from almost ALL vendors... so I'm probably not going to pursue that one.

At this stage, how about if I open it up to the membership and ask if there's anyone who has 1920-32 filmstrips and wants to make them available on the web? Any additional ones that are loaned to be copied, will be placed in the Members Only area of the VCCA site. Some other 1931 films that I run across will be posted on my public site at http://1931chevrolet.com

Ideas? Volunteer donars?

In my youth (long time ago??) we had same kind of jokes as April Fool here in Norway on May 1st. It was called Maigåsa, the goose of May, but only Aprils Fool has remained.
