It is my understanding that the Late 23 and 24 Deluxe would have disc wheels. What size, and were they the same as the 25 model disc wheel?

My Superior Series "K" parts list dated Jan 1, 1926 lists front Disc Wheel part number 342661 and rear Disc Wheel 342662. Why there's a different number for front and rear are a mystery to me. The list also denotes all part numbers carried over from the previous models with an asterisks and this has none, which indicates the 4 lug wheel is only used on Superior K up to 01-01-1926.

This may not be entirely true, as the July 1 1940 parts list shows the 4 lug wheel part number 353138 is used on Superior K, V. Whatever made the difference between front and rear apparently was superseded with one wheel and one new part number.

All the old photos I've seen of closed model 1924s show 6 lug disc wheels. Does anyone have any data on when the 6 lug wheel was re-introduced and on which model? Has anyone found any differences in a front and rear 4 lug wheel?

I have a 25 sedan with 4 lug disc wheels and are wondering if they would be the same as was used on the 24 deluxe. They are the 4:50 x 21 size I believe. It does look in the book like the 24 deluxe had 6 bolt wheels. I wonder what size they were?

Not sure if Chevy used the TuArc wheels made by Motorwheel in Lansing MI in 24. My 24 Olds has them and they have 6 lugs with a clamping ring that goes all the way around the wheel and clamps the rim in place.

28 Chevy LO Capitol 1 ton, 28 National 2 dr coach, 71 Chevy Custom Camper 3/4 ton. Also 23 Oldsmobile Economy truck and a 24 Olds sport touring.

I have a 24 Superior which has the 4 lugs to attatch the wheel or split rim and the hub is held on by 6 rivets. Could the different part numbers be for the difference in the hub from front to rear? I don't know if they would sell repacement wheels without the hub. Just a thought?
