How far off are the dimensions of a '34 Master grille insert
and the '36 1/2T?

I'm not chevy gene but can tell you the dimensions are too far off to use a car insert in a truck. The 34 master insert is narrower overall and shorter. If you need actual dimensions I have one of each grille and insert in my shop and can measure for you, but you can be sure they are not compatible.

Thanks for the info; just what I needed to know. There's
a SST '34 Master grill insert on Ebay Motors right now.
Wants $400.

the filling station has new stainless inserts for 36 truck for $365, part number HR-36T. After you add the $35 for shipping it is also $400. I haven't ordered a insert from them before but have got many other parts and have been happy with the quality.
