Filling Station's catalogue shows a cowl band that fits 31 and 32. When I checked several months ago, their supplier had stopped making them, and I bought a used one from Gary Wallace.

I sent you an email, I guess 1930 is not a match.
Thanks

1930 is not even close. The cowl band for 1930 is a five piece set, whereas the cowl band for 1931-32 is all one piece. The 1931-32 cowl band is narrower as well.

Yes, I saw this on ebay and that is why I wanted to know if 29 & 30 were the same as a 32, I have now figured out the one on ebay is a 1932 cowl band. Thanks for all the help and information. ( I see the listing was changed to 1932)

Be careful with eBay sellers. Most of them don't know what they are selling. There are a few guys that get it right, but it's best to check back here before you buy.

Typical; "32 chevy hubcaps, CHEAP!!!!" (well, they are 36 Chevy hubcaps)

We see it all the time.

I liked the late 30s horn button listed as a gas cap.

People just don't know, honest mistakes.

Yes, I know what you are saying. I have a collection of wrong parts bought on ebay that I will be selling later. Buyer beware!
Thanks

"Buyer Beware"....absolutely! In reality, it is the buyer that should be aware of what parts are correct and what parts are not correct for his car, rather than taking the seller's word for it. The same holds true for purchasing parts from established suppliers because sometimes they assume that they have the correct part for your vehicle, when in fact, the part may actually be incorrect.

Jay, You're on the right track. A big part of enjoying this hobby is the discovery of what's correct.

Actually, I enjoy looking through the parts on eBay just to re-test my memory.

We are in the market as well for one of these. We have a 1932 Chevrolet Special Sedan, and if anyone else is looking to sell one or knows where to find one we would be interested.
The Filling Station shows it in the catalog but they say it is back ordered and has been for a long time, with no known time for when they will get them.
