What is the correct way to install the front rubber floor mat. Do you glue the backing to the floor and lay the rubber mat on top or do you glue the rubber mat to the backing and just lay it down?

If you glue the jute backing to the floor then how are you going to remove the toe board or the floor board if needed? How are you going to access the metal battery inspection cover to put water in the battery?

The jute backing is glued to the back of the floor mat, not the floor.
