Does any one know the correct (original) color for the front grill supports; the visible sheet metal through the grill that support the chrome bars. I believe it is a gray on the 50 and possibly black on the 49, but I'm not sure. I'd like to restore both to original.

Welcome! Gray on the '50 is correct. If you go to Chevytalk.org forums 1949-1954, find the thread "post some pics of your 4 doors" and scroll down there is a very clear front shot of a 1950 4 door DeLuxe. Good luck. Dean

Chevrolet called the color Argent Silver. Its a metallic silver used on various areas such as the Rally wheels on the later model cars. Sould be easy to find in spray cans.

Eastwoods has it in a rattle bomb, it is located where you see wheel paint. $11.99 for a 12 Oz Aerosol can. ![[Linked Image from eastwoodco.com]](http://www.eastwoodco.com/images/us//local/products/detail/p23.jpg)
