I have a 1933 chevrolet 1.5 ton truck with the 207 engine. My bearings are worn out and I am looking for 6 connecting rods (.010 undercasting #837107) or info on somebody that does a reasonable price on babbitting. Thanks Bob

Do you have the crankshaft out and is it being regound to .010" under for the rod bearings? If not and the crank has never been regound use standard sized rods. I have a supply of standard rebabbited rods. Also have a 1933-34 crankshaft that I had hard chrome plated and turned to standard size. Ran it about 2000 miles in my '34.

Just got word from the machine shop and they where able to use the std. rods but now I need .010 under main bearings. Do you have any of them. Thanks Bob

You will need to get "semi" mains. Those are shells with babbitt poured and "semi" finished or sized. Once the shells are in place and caps tightened the bearings are line bored to the proper size. The machine shop should be able to do that. You can get semi mains from Egge or get yours done by several companies around the country. Many of the shops that do As and Ts don't like to mess with the Chevy shells. The A & T babbitt is poured directly into the block. Depends on where you are as the closest and best for you.
