finally located the correct glovebox latch for my 38. Since this part was missing to begin with, the striker plate(may be wrong name for it) was absent too. I bought one for a 39, but don't know if it will work with my latch. Does anyone have a picture of the small piece of metal which the latch arm moves over to keep door closed? Would a 37 be the same, although the 37 latch looks different?

The striker fits 1938 only.
