A friend has a 69 SS Chevelle with power disc brakes. It has the baseline 396 so vacumn should not be a problem. At times the brakes work fine/normal-power brake feel and stopping. Other times, a lot more foot pressure is needed-almost like brakes are fading. Original booster replaced twice, both times with rebuilt booster. The problem is still not fixed. Any suggestions Thanks, Lou 44888

I believe that those did not have a vac. reserve tank, the reserve was held in the booster. There should be a check valve plugged into the booster. If this was not holding vacuum there may be a loss of vacuum in the booster.
