I am a newbie and just acquired a 36 chevrolet coupe. The trans is leaking into the rear. Where is a good source for parts?

Thanks for all your help.

If you go to the "Vendors & Suppliers - Parts" forum and then click on the "Vendor Index" topic a long listing of vendors, ratings and links will appear. The links don't work for me but it will give an idea of the people who supply parts. Each of us has our favorites but I don't like to recommend one versus another in a public forum as it can be construed as an advertisement. If you send me a PM I will let you know my favorite(s).

According to an article in the Feb. 2001 G&D a Federal Mogul metric seal identified as 26x37x7 is a replacement for the original cork seal. It is on page 24-5 for those interested in looking up the article on replacing the bushing and seal.

The drive shaft seal is shown in the .....www.fillingstation....catalog. Its part # RW-110 and sells for $5.00. The picture shows a modern type seal. While its apart I would replace the bushings (front and rear) also. They often can be found on ebay.
