I have seen pictures of the potter trunk. But i need the dimensions of the potter trunk. Also need dimensions of the extension trunk. I have a 31 special sedan. I know its not correct for my year, but i have been looking at swap meets and it would help to know what everything looks like and the dimensions. Mine is a driver. I bring it to many local shows(non judged). I always carry oil and other misc nessesities with me and i would really like to get it out of the car and into a trunk even if its not 100% correct for the car. Any pictures ofpotter trunks and extension trunks and extention trunk rack will be helpful

The accessory Potter trunk was used for the coupes and roadsters. It is a small trunk as compared to the extension trunk. The extension trunk was used for the sedan, coach and phaeton. Since you have a 1931 Special Sedan, the extension trunk and rack would be the way to go. If you have the complete 12 issue set of 1931 Chevrolet Service News (they are available from the Filling Station), you can check out the October, 1931 issue. On the front cover you will find a rear view of a 1931 Special Sedan with the accessory extension trunk and rack. laugh laugh laugh

I see them sometimes at car shows, maybe you can get the specs there. Most car owners wouldn't mind.
