Hi, I have asked a bunch of questions about my car and have got alot of great answers but then all of a sudden they just stopped being answered at all so I can only assume that I said something that some people did not like and while I would not change much of anything that I said at this point ( especially since I am still uncertain what I could have possibly said that was so terrible ) I would like to ask whether there are still people that are interested in talking about and sharing what they know about their cars. I don't care in the least whether your answer is right or wrong and anyway believe it or not no one has all the answers regardless of what they think, my thinking is that a forum such as this is a place where we share our thoughts ideas and experiences ( simply because as I had mentioned there are no definitives in this hobby ) Its best when a group of people do this because when you only have one or two people ( that are certainly very knowledgeable ) answer a majority of the questions than it becomes set in stone and it is learned by anyone that it should not be questioned. Also unfortunately when you have just a small hand full of persons that own this knowledge and it becomes unquestionable or indisputable than when these people all of a sudden decide not to share what they know or learned ( because it is their only form of self gratification or empowerment ) than you lose the fellowship of what this hobby was founded on and that is the true love and interest of the hobby. I own a very nice 29 Chevrolet 2 dr sedan, also a beautiful nearly restored VERY correct 1929/30 DA Dodge Victoria which is one of only two known to exist and my name is Jason Anderson, my phone # is 813-655-6322, my e-mail address is jhason2@yahoo.com, I live in Brandon Fl and I love my old cars, I love any old car whether it be Ford Chevy, Franklin, Packard, ect.ect.ect. and either way I will learn everything there is to know about my Chevrolet and share everything I know on this site whether my ideas or thoughts are wanted or incorrect because this is a free website to all but I would much rather prefer that I share it with people that are into this hobby for what the root of this hobby stems from and that is lets have fun and learn. I know alot of you guys have 29 and 30 Chevy's like mine and you have chosen not to answer inquires for the last dozen or so and so I feel that I need to remind all of us what we log onto this site for because evidently either I am way out in left ball field alone and incorrect ( and if I am give me a call, send me an e-mail write me a letter and correct me ) or maybe the site has lost the meaning of what it was originally intended for. Thanks for reading this and any responses would be great but are not necessary, I will still ask a question every now and then and if I get a response than that is great and if I don't than I know that eventually it will be answered by someone and I look forward to that answer. If you hadn't offended anyone before I am sure you have now. I have been using this site 12/19/2007 and your the 2nd person than I have seen show much discontentment with the handling of this forum. I can't speak for everyone but I often am unsure about the questions that you and others ask and when I answer before verifying the information I usually turn out to be wrong. I then end up apologizing because it bothers me to give incorrect advice. I usually will add in an, "I think but am unsure if someone with more knowledge will please correct me if I am wrong", before I will answer. This will usually get the correct answer fairly quickly because someone with the correct answer will usually come in with it. I only have a limited amount of spare time and don't always have time to answer everything I would like especially if I have to look it up.

Now with that said, I think others are in the same position I am, limited time and knowledge, "still learning". Resources are available in manuals, on the net, etc. even though it is quicker to just ask someone who knows the answer rather than search it out. My take on your not getting responses from others is this: The "Ones" on this site that are so very knowledgeable are giving us that are still learning time to answer so that we too can become more knowledgeable, not that they can't or don't want to answer your questions. However without the use of "Tact" you are liable to find that fewer answers will come your way.

Thanks for the advice and you are correct on my use of tact and I appreciate your honesty, I am only asking for some response or a discussion, if you will look at my posts I was just fine until I made the suggestion that it would be beneficial to everyone if all of our accumulated knowledge was made avail in print, I for instance have made several copies of my original 29 Dodge parts books for no fee and have sent them overseas to a few owners over there because they are completely unavailable, I did not expect anyone to do anything that I suggested when I made that suggestion but I did not also expect to just be completely ignored by everyone which is exactely was has happened, there were posts made by others right after mine that were covering the same vehicle and also very basic questions and they were answered right away and then on top of that I was told by someone in a private message.......... One reason I ask you where you were in Florida was because we had a member that constantly posed questions on the forum. If he got an answer he would immediately ask the same question again.

In following your posting on the forum it appears you are doing a similar type of action. You have posted as high as 5 questions in some of the forums that are so obvious it appears you are doing it just for fun.
This got me thinking even worse because this as far from the truth as is possible, I play games with no one and I am an intelligent enough to think things thru before I say them ( usually ) and I stand by what I said and would not take a word back as this is what I feel but I am once again gratefull to be alowwed the opportunity to say this even though I know it is not neccessarily auto related and I will refrain from this in the future for sure.
