Found one of the three correct front bumper medallions yeaterday, as far as I can make out from pictures the two outer are of the same size and then center is larger, I am thinking I have one of the two outers but not so sure, is it possible for anyone to give me the two different medallion sizes and also give me an idea as to what sort of backing plate was used and if the backing plates were also of different sizes. A picture of these things would be even better.

29Chevrolet,

I just measured the medallions on my 29 coach. The center medallion is almost 4&1/2" tall/long and approx. 1&1/2" wide
at its widest (middle) part. The two other front medallions and the two rear bumper medallions are the same size (approx.
3&1/2" tall and 1&1/2" wide)and of the same design of the larger center medallion. Also, the center medallion at its
two end points (top/bottom)have small ears that curl over the
edges of the top and bottom bumper bars. None of the smaller medallions have this feature. The center medallion does not have a rear mounting plate but bolts through the front bumper
horizontal bracket. All of the smaller medalllions have non-matching strap steel plates with just the one hole in them for the medallion stud to go through. It would appear that these strap steel plates are not original but replacements added during the life of the car. All are approx. 1/4" thick with different lengths and widths for each one. Hope this helps, Bob

Hi,I was just reading your post on bumper medallions for 29.I have 3 or 4 small 29 medallions amoung my spare parts. I do not have the centre large one. the ones I have would need rechroming. I would like to trade for some medallions for a 1930. let me know if you have some for a 30 perhaps we can help each other out. I am restoring a 30 roadster Thanks John

Hi John, that would be great, my phone # is 813-655-6322 or my cell # is 813-300-8227, the medallions on the 30 are in excellent condition, not rusty
