Chevrolet sold the upper half of the frame under part # 602498 and it fit 1937 and 1938.
They sold the lower half under part # 602131 and it fit 1936 with low roof cab and all 1937 and 1938.

Thanks chevgene,
But do you know if all of those you listed would work on a 37 pickup or are they different size, as mine seems possibly a little short in the height??

Old Blue is a '37 low cab. Her wind shield frame measures 46.5 inches by 15.0 inches. Hope this helps.

Thanks 37blue!
My windshield measures 45.5" wide and 12.75" at the center vertically. I don't think that size you stated would fit in the cab opening I have. I thought my cab was a low cab as I have only 2 door hinges??

All 1937's were low cab. The 1936 had the early high cab and the late low cab.
Its sounds as if you guys are measuring from different points
As noted the lower half of the frame fits 1936-1938. The upper 1937-1938 only.

Measurements were taken midway between top and bottom for the long axis and on the end for the short. I could not reach far enough over to the center for an accurate measurement, Yes, I was aware the '37's were low cab.

Not to confuse things, but I was told sometime back that a 36 winshield was not the same as a 37-38 winshield. The 36 cab, while looking like the 37-38 cab, still had wood in it and was slightly different than the 37-38 cab. The winshield on a 36 cab does not have as high an arch on the top as a 37-38 cab. I can't give you any dimensions, just the above information.

Joe,
The upper frame and lower frame were sold seperately. Thats why the upper frame fit 1936 low cab only.
The lower fit all three years.
The 1936 windshield was lower + the top half of the frame was made lower.

Thanks everyone for you input!
It seems the windshield I have is about 1/2" to short in the height, could be correct but wondering if I have two different halves to one windshield that is not correct for the 37 pickup..

The 36 Low cab is about an inch and a half shorter than the 37 and 38.
