Is it possible to modernize classic cars and trucks? By that I mean - are airbag kits available and appropriate seat belts / shoulder belts? I know some kind of seat belt is available, but what about a full modernization complete with airbags, shoulder belts, et cetera ...

Seat belts are no problem, but where would you put an air bag in a 1930 Chevrolet?

You could nail it to the floor along with the seat belts.

There really is no way much can be done on the older models.

Even just lap belts are of little help.

If you belong to a VCCA region, you may want to elect the proper person to serve as "the desiginated Air Bag" for any upcoming tour and invite him/her to ride with you. Then you would be fixed up!
haha devil :vcca:

I am waiting to be nominated, however there should be quite a number of qualified candidates in the Lone Star Region.

OK... lashing babies to the steering wheel won't fly... and then, man, all that crying all the way there and back makes you wish for a crash...

The seat belt thing is not too hard. I am building a 39 and have reenforced a section of the undercarriage and welded support into the door piller and will be placing a retractable three point seat belt in the car. Two in the front and two in the back.
