I was wonderding if anyone had the car side of the connection to the tail light. My wires had been cut and the connection piece is missing. Or is there a modern application that fits or another fix?
Also back to the steering wheel..... What is the best way to remove it. I believe mine is just stuck but I don't want to be missing something and screw something up!
Thanks all,
David Baldwin

Hi David, I am clear over on the other side of the State south of Terre Haute and have a completly original 28 truck. I think my wires are still on the truck or at least the plug is in in the socket. I will check today and see what I have. Also my Dad has an original 28 landau coupe in Indy if you want to meet there sometime and look at it. I need to go fill up the tires on all his 20s cars that are sitting anyway., Bob

Hi,
My 1928 Chevy coupe had the same problem - someone had cut off the plug from the tail light/brake wires. I ordered one from Gary Wallace - around $40.00. Perfect fit! Gary is always a pleasure to do business with.
Good luck. Blake

Thanks all, I got the steering wheel off today, just had to put a little more muscle into it.
I will check with Gary about the tail light plug in. (Once I can come up with some money!)

Hi David, I still have the original plug and wiring on my truck in good shape. It has two contacts , is made of bakelite, and has the armor conduit crimped onto the bakelite end with what looked like a brass ferrell. The armor conduit looks just like the old house wiring conduit but smaller dia. It was late when I looked so I will take another look when it is lighter out. I just got DSL today so maybe I can post pictures or at least get photos uploaded without shutting everything down. Those plugs show up on ebay once in a while and you can get a deal on a pile of them sometimes. The headlite ones are more common though as the tail lights took all the abuse from the rear wheels and flying rocks and bad reverse manuvering.
