Get used to it. I've had more than a few call me stupid in slightly different words when I told them mine was neither a Model A nor a Model T.

I hear that! during my first venture outside the neigborhood I was quizzed by a motorist in a ford pickup wanting to know if my coupe was a A model or a T model. grrrrr it has a bowtie on the rear spare and tail light..... here's your sign.....

The young couple is my son and his daughter trying to steal my car. The young lady couldn't reach the starter button. The point of this picture though is that even with the rather explicit plate people will stand right next to it and ask me what year F*** the car is. ![[Linked Image from i5.photobucket.com]](http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y154/rbl2/Kyla/DSC00052.jpg)

Great photo. Get used to people asking about your Model T or A. Have pity on them as they are not informed about antique cars and want to comment or compliment you on your car. It will happen nearly every time you take it out in public.

I got used to it long ago. Antique cars 101: Never, ever drive your antique car unless you're willing to talk to and deal with people.
I don't mind at all. I quit minding the day some old timer told me it had a 28 Willis engine in it. He knew that because he had a 28 Willis with an engine just like it. I pointed out the Chevy bowtie on the block and then he informed me someone had welded that on there. He then called me a stupid )(*&^%^& for having a car and not knowing what it was.
Now I just grin and nod my head.

I have had simular types of encounters, but one that left me a bit dazed was the guy you saw my 1936 GMC 1/2 ton and remarked, "A GMC, just a Chevrolet with lock washers".

There are also quite a few guys around that do not have the faintest clue about the difference between the passenger cars and the utilities. If you have a wooden steering wheel in your 31 pick up, you must change immediately not to loose the original look of 31. The head light bar from 30 is wrong, and they would like me to be in the modified class at meetings, they say. They even find it peculiar to see the pancake horn painted black, as it should be cromed. Hurray! I finally changed to black last summer, when I was able to buy a painted one.
I don't mind, as I know a lot about the differences here in Norway, and there are many differences to the same vehicles in other parts of the world.
