The holes in your steering wheel hub are most likely for the horn "S" wire. This has been discussed several time in the recent past. If you do a search in this forum for steering wheel you'll most likely find what you seek.

You need to tap the holes with 10-32 tap. Then use long machine screws, washers and standard two arm steering wheel puller. Snug the puller and rap firmly on the center bolt. Must loosen but not remove the nut so wheel can pop up but not off. Works every time for me and doesn't mar or break anything.

Somehow my wheel was really stuck. My own fault. I did it up too tight trying to get the horn contacts to , well contact. Tapping the holes would not have been enough as it is plastic. I used a universal puller with two muffler clamps around the back of the steering wheel arms (padded of course) and away I went. It came off with a bang. I have now lubricated the shaft and not tightened up the nut too tight. It will come off in future.
