The engine number and serial numbers were not the same.From my info the engine was probably made in March....that would indiacte that the car was probably assembeled in April...but there is no sure way of telling if its the original engine.

Let me add to Gene's comments. Your serial number 3AC32434 breaks down as follows:

3 = St.Louis Assembly Plant
AC = 1929 Passenger car
32434 = 31434th passemger unit assembled at St.Louis for the 1929 model year. All serial numbers started at 1001.

For the St.Louis assembly plant the last Passenger vehicle assembled in February, 1929 carried Serial number 14908. The last Passenger vehicle assembled in March, of 1929 carried serial number 32758. Your vehicle was assembled 324 units prior to the 32757 number unit making my guess that your vehicle was assembled at the St.Louis assembly plant during the last working day of March, 1929.

My engine data is a little sketchy at best. It starts with the first serial number for March which was number 349222. Your number 334243 was prior to the March number, so I can only guess that your engine was assembled at Flint sometime in February, 1929.
