Can someone tell me if the running board is the same for all 33`s? Coupes, sedans & town cars?

You will have to be more specific..........Master or Standard models? The running boards for the CA Models are the same. The running boards for the CC Models are the same. Check out your Chevrolet parts book since it lists the running boards and other specific information for all of the different 1933 models.

JYD- Your not a very good mind-reader! Actually it`s a Master and I forgot to say that, and yes I just took the time to look in my parts book and got the answer. Thank You.

Thanks, MRC

MRC-I only needed one piece and I have been lucky to find it. You might try Rich James, he`s located in Pittsburgh, Pa. home phone # 412-241-4263 or e-mail-chevcop@aol.com he has nothing but 33 stuff.

I probably mis-spoke when I said running boards. What I'm actually after is the running board mats. My running boards are in good shape but I have old brittle cracked mats on the backing plates. I'm looking for a solution to replace the rubber on my plates or a new/refurbished set.
Thanks, MRC VCCA 44836

I took my (very rusted) mats/inserts off the running boards of 1935 Master Sports Sedan and took them to a sheet metal shop. They used them as a pattern and cut new mats/inserts using a torch burner. I can't remember the guage thickness, either 16 or 20 guage. I took a srtong insulation tape (1/8" thickness, 3/8 to 1/2 inch width. Measured with 2 inch spacing (tenaciously and accurately) laid it on the mat/insert and then took it to a bedliner spray-on application shop. Beautiful finished job at less $100.00 for materials and labor.

I took my mats off and the steel backing is in pretty good shape. Could I get some pics of the mats that you had a spray on applacation done. That is one option I had not thought of.

Dale '33. I sent you an email, maybe you never got it. My '33 master right running board is sort of rumpled. It is probably repairable at some expense. However, if you have right and left good ones I would be interested in purchasing. You can email me at info@bridgecreekinn.com if you wish. Thanks, Gene
