I purchased a 194cc motor, tranny and rear end from a 1 1/2 ton chevy truck. I will be picking it up soon. Question: I wanted the motor for spare parts since the 32 confederate I bought has been setting for 40 years. Is the tranny out of the truck the same as the chevy confederate? Can I use it for parts? On the rear end, is the rear end worth picking up since it is from a 1 1/2 ton truck? The deal was that the price i paid for the package deal, the guy mentioned that I did not have to take everything. I was mostly interested in the motor. Will it be worth taking the tranny and rear end? Im guessing the motor will be the only thing that will interchange with the 32 confederate. Just not sure if putting the parts to the side is something worth hanging on to. Any suggestions would be of help. thanks

Unless you need more flower beds or decorations for your pond, take just the motor. You will have no need for the transmission and rear end.

All 1932 Chevrolet models, including the cars and trucks, are Confederate. "Confederate" is the series for 1932. The truck transmission is not the same as the passenger car transmission. The 1932 engine is the same for all 1932 models. The 1 1/2 ton truck used a different rear end than the passenger cars. :)

Is there much demand for the 1 1/2 ton truck rear end and tranny? If not, then I can let the guy keep everything except the motor as Im sure he will just put it back up on e bay.

Thanks, I guess your right. I think I should get this pack rat idea out of my head as it will just be something to walk over. The guy took a short video of the motor as it was running. I got it for a good price. Thanks again,
