While admiring this gentleman's 1950 Deluxe (which he let me know was VERY original)I really liked the steering wheel. Butterfly style, but it was like an almost transparent amber lucite or plastic material. Was this the original option? I've seen the whitish repops which look pretty good, I think, but I've not seen another amber colored one.

I asked about the correct color a while back. Check this link or simply go to search and type in "butterfly". The "amber" color is a new one on me.

Never heard of such a thing. May have been recast at one time.

Thanks Gene and 51ambulance. Mist green 50 on the CT site had one recast to match his dash color. They do look nice.
