I am struggling with the connections where the accelerator rod meets the ferticle rod from the carb. It appears that there is a connection that should also be connected to the throttle cable. Is there somewhere where I can look at a picture? Paul

Sounds like you are working on a 1932. If so, there is a bell crank that attaches to the side of the engine block down behind the exhaust manifold. The accelerator rod attaches to one end of the bell crank and the throttle rod that goes to the carburetor attaches to the other side.

:) wink

OK, and yes this is for a 32. I understand the connection of the two rods, What about the third piece that has a small holder(with a screw) for a wire. Is this for the throttle? what holds the cable?
And THANK YOU all for your help. Its been 6 years getting it this far-I hope to be driving it next year.

You will have to be more specific as to its location and etc. Are you talking about the cable bracket on top of the intake manifold?

:) wink

There are two pieces that hold the throttle cable. One is a bracket that the cable fits through (also the manifold "Heat" cable). It is secured by the back two nuts that hold the intake and exhaust manifolds together. Then there is a piece that fits on the shoulder screw that holds the bellcrank to the block. That part is "U" shaped and has a cable clamp to attach the end of the cable. It functions to adjust the "idle" speed.
