I'm planning to buy some new turquoise carpet for my '54 Sport Coupe. What's left of the original is dirty, faded & very worn. It appears to be a cut pile as opposed to a loop. Is that correct? Also, I'm looking for opinions of the carpet sold by National Chevy. I want something that looks as close to original as possible without spending a fortune. Any other suggestions?

Thanks

The original carpeting in 1954 was the cut pile. From others I have heard that the turquoise replacements is often way off in color. Get a sample if possible. The original color was the light turquoise like the rest of the interior trim. Most are too blue or too green.
I have a friend that got a blue carpet from "that place"...it was not good at all and he sent it back. I think you will find that you will get what you pay for.
