Does anyone have a picture of the muffler hanger with muffler/pipe attached? This is for a 36 Master. Or, if you could take one and send to me, it would be much appreciated. Here's a link to the picture of the old mount: Muffler Hanger My problem is that the muffler/pipe is several inches below the hanger when the hanger is bolted to the frame. I assume I should use a U-bolt to mount it, but with the long reach, I'll have to add additional hardware to make it work. I don't remember there being anything but this hanger.

Randy, I emailed you 2 photos of the hanger I made for the '35; the '36 is very close or identical. I believe I saw the bracket in a photo in an old Chevy Service News and I made one from steel that looks just like it. It's a very simple "C" shaped bracket that (on top) bolts to the hanger you photographed. At the bottom of the bracket it is secured to the muffler outlet by a U-bolt. Hope this helps!

Randy,
I sent you an email with several photos of my '36 Master Coupe with the tailpipe routed below the rear X-crossframe member and through the front X-crossframe member. The tailpipe then nests in the muffler bracket and is in alignment with the muffler center outlet pipe.

Gene, Haven't started the engine yet. My usual slow but steady progress. Exhaust system, fuel system now all connected. I'm painting parts as I go along, though. I've painted the dash in the original 2-tone color scheme(came out great!), so now I can put the gauges and ignition in. The only other step before starting the engine is putting the radiator cowl/grill/radiator. I'm still getting the hang of base coat/clear coat, and and cowl had solvent pop the first time. I'm stripping it to do it again...I'm learning something new with each step. Thanks for asking. Randy
