Just out of curiosity....Did anyone ever build a semi tractor and trailer out of 28 vintage trucks? Not now but, back in the 20's...

There are many examples in Scandinavia showing converted cars (Chevrolets too) into tractors. They have a special name in Sweden: EPA-traktor. They normally chopped off the rear chassis, using the rear wheels and drive chain from a truck, open cab etc.

Here is a picture of a Buick 1917 later converted in Norway, still running:

Ray, Got any pics you can share? I collected antique tractors for 7 years and have had over 200 tractors. I've seen about every model turned into a tractor except a chevrolet.

Solan, Very cool!!

The main reason for asling is I've seen 2 Model TT F**ds that were semi tractors with about 16 foot long trailers and was wondering if there were any Chevys.

I have seen several photos of 20s and 30s Chevrolet trucks made into semis. One shows a huge log on the semi-trailer. Think it was taken somewhere in Mississippi. Have some Chevrolet literature that contains semi information. It is from the early 6 cyl. era.

Here are two examples of snow tractors, one Chevy here from Canada or USA, I think:

I will show you a similar T-F**D in the main street of Silverton, CO in 2006 a little later.

From Great Britain I have seen pictures showing Chevrolet trucks from early 30ties converted with double rear axles. From same years a Danish factory may have tried as well (I have only seen the leaflets)

Solan, Man if I had one of those they'd never get me to come inside out of the snow....
