Don,
Looks like a '30 to me. It seems to be missing the tube that goes to the crankcase breather. Can only see the one side but the seller has been fairly accurate in his identification in the past.

The seller is advertising the air cleaner as a 1929-1930, but the air cleaner is for a 1930 only. The 1929 air cleaner is different.

wink :)

Dandyd, If you send me your email address I can email a couple of pictures of a 30 air cleaner with the breather tube.

yes. thats the right one for a 1930.
its in alot better shape than the one i saw at
a swap meet a few weeks ago that the guy wanted 100$ for.
the breather tube should not be that hard to make with only one 90 bend in it.

When I bought my 1931 chevy, the air cleaner was completely missing. The last owner, a vintage-car-garage, tried to tell me "cars like this have no air cleaner in general"...ridiculous.

So i began to search for one and found:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Air-...ategoryZ43946QQihZ023QQitemZ360097776824

(Just to give you an idea in case of "I need it now, tomorrow")

Yes, it is not original, but it fits and works and after one week the car was ready for use and I could drive this summer without ruining the engine.

All the best
