There were two basic body styles for 1949, the Fleetline, which has the smooth, sloping shape from the roof to the rear of the car, also sometimes called the "fastback" style. The other model was called the Styleline, which had the more familiar
"bustleback" style, where the roofline curved down to meet the rear decklid. This website will have a lot of good information for you.

Check your body number listed on your cowl plate. If it has 49-1007/49-1008 it's a Fleetline Deluxe. If it's 49-1207/49-1208 it's a Fleetline Special. All other numbers would indicate a Styleline Deluxe or Styleline Special.

A fellow about 4 miles from here has a '50 & a '51 or '52 in his pasture. Too full of junk & cold now to get inside of them to get the trim off. I'm taking some off this spring for my '49 if they're still available. If your still in need let me know and I'll see what I can do. Can't remember what kind of shape the rear window trim was in. I think they're both styleline deluxe.

I believe these are the styleline. Are they the same? I could check next week.
