The new Southern Illinois Region is looking at picking up the calander project that Jim Knopp had to shut down we would like to get imput as to how many members would be willing to send us pictures of their cars and trucks for the calender. If we can get the pictures we would like to do three different calanders one from the start like back to the little to 1928, one from 1929 to 1954 and one from 1955 to date. Please let us know if you would like to have your car in the calander email at soilvcca@yahoo.com or let us know right here thanks.

VCCA members have access to a list of over 50 Technical Advisors who can help you with your car. It's worth the price of membership! While you can get a lot of information for free in this forum, sometimes the info that you REALLY need is only available from the right person. This is what "The World's Best Chevrolet Club" is all about!

To be sure you get all 36 pictures in time for printing, may be you should ask Jean Fink to supply you with the balance after individual members have sent their pictures. I believe she has loads of pictures from several years. Be aware that if you plan to make 3 different calendars, you most probably will be struggling with the price for each copy when divided into 3 issues.
If this project is ment only for VCCA-members, may be you should ask Bill Barker to move this thread to the Members Only section.
Good luck with the project.

Solan thanks for the info about Jean Fink. We think we can sell the calendars for about $11.00 each and make a small profit. at this time the production price is not an issue as the printer is an extended family member. they are not making a lot of $ either. As for members only we feel that we could sell to any one that wanted one, as non members may like to have one and maybe become members. If we shut out people they may not believe they are welcome to join the VCCA.

Sorry for being unclear. I imagined you should only use members' cars to promote both your club and VCCA. Anyone could buy it, I believe.
Be aware you select a size, weight and suitable envelop making a good combination with the postage.

Solan We will use only members cars in the calendars and members are ask to send photos to the region email address that only the Director, secretary, and assistant Director have access to. you have some good looking cars why not send us your photos to soilvcca@yahoo.com then order a calendar when they cime out. we are hoping for the middle of November. thanks for your input we are new at this and all views are welcome.

Middle of November? I'd better get a picture out to see if you can use it.
I think I'm a fairly wise person because I'm smart enough to realise I'm not too bright.

Pictures of only members cars, selling to everyone is fine. As to my cars they have been in the calendars in these latest years, so let other members cars come forward this year.
You will have to work very quick and steady to collect pictures and prepare for printing if you want to send the finished calendar before end of the year. To save time needed, for this first year I would suggest you only make only one calendar with a variety of cars.

OK heres the update on the 2009 VCCA calendars. Due to time there will only be one calendar this year. It will have VCCA members car only in it and will have cars and trucks from the 20's 30's 40's 50's and 60's maybe with more time we can due all three calendars in 2010. Now for the good part the printer tells us that we should have the calendars in our hands to ship by the 21th of Nov. If you would like to order the 2009 VCCA calendar send check or money order to the SoIl Region VCCA P.O. Box 1052 Herrin Il. 62948 The cost is $11.00 U.S. shipping included inside the continental U.S. and $11.00 U.S. plus Shipping out side the continental U.S. The U.S. shipping cost will be deducted from overseas orders. If we receive your order with payment before the 21st of Nov. we will ship your calendar/s on the 24th of Nov. Overseas orders can email soilvcca@yahoo.com for shipping cost. Thanks to every one who sent in pictures.

Pops29, Can you give us a hint of what cars are on the calendar? That would make a big difference on how many I order. Thanks.
