Hello

My 1930 sedan has a steering gearbox with a number 552539 some people before i buy the car was working at the steering box!!!The bushings in the box are new also the gear, sector and the shaft but the steering worm gears with shaft is old and has to mutch tappet to the gear the is a worm adjusting plug but i think tha is just for the thrust bearings that the steering wheel turns easy...
so what i can do that i dont have this tappet in the gear is not so good to drive that way the for information the tie rod end are ok
i kan't find a steering worm gear with shaft in the internet
Thanks

The steering shaft and worm gear are not available. Either live with the looseness or weld and machine what you have or get someone to make another gear. There are several in the US that advertise rebuilding steering boxes.

Chipper is the 30 gearboxs the only year that will fit Switzerland's car, maybe someone could have a decent one that would work?
